Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a specialized massage technique designed to stimulate the flow of lymphatic fluid throughout the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system is a network of vessels and nodes that plays a crucial role in maintaining fluid balance, filtering toxins, and supporting the immune system. Unlike the circulatory system, which has the heart to pump blood, the lymphatic system relies on muscle contractions and external forces, such as MLD, to move lymphatic fluid.
